JOB DESCRIPTION:

Seeking an experienced Senior Financial Controller / Accountant for the Treasury product control division at a Top leading bank in Johannesburg, on a 6-month contract.

Preparation of returns

Payment reconciliations

Balance sheet substantiation

Risk management

Work in line with the IFRS 9

Implementing corrective procedures

Review the banks' liquid asset requirements

Verify and calculate daily profit and loss of treasury

Product control

Evaluate underlining treasury products

Manage internal and external auditors

Involved with treasury projects

Performance evaluation of of the banks' liquid asset portfolio

Transition of liquid asset portfolios

Stakeholder engagement

Must have;

Matric

Finance / Accounting Honours degree

CA / CIMA / CFA

No less than 7 years' experience in the banking sector, working in a Financial role

Need to have broad based trading and finance system knowledge and the flow of information from source system to ledger

Must have hedge accounting experience

Ability to lead finance projects

Comfortable liaising with treasury heads

Global marketing understanding

Statistical and mathematical analysis

Results driven
