SUMMARY:
A prominent and well-established consulting engineering firm is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to lead its dynamic finance department. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned professional ready to drive financial strategy, ensure compliance, and lead a team to operational excellence.

POSITION INFO:

Key Requirements:

Minimum 15 years’ experience in financial management
Proven leadership experience managing finance teams
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CA (SA), CIMA, or equivalent professional certification
Experience in consulting engineering is highly advantageous
Solid knowledge of IFRS and corporate governance frameworks (e.g., King)
Familiarity with financial systems such as Proman, SAGE Payroll, SAP Ariba, and Coupa
Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and manage a finance team of 15
Oversee all day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance
Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Provide financial insights and strategic support to the executive team
Maintain strong internal controls and seek continuous process improvement
Manage and approve payroll, support audits, and liaise with external auditors
Implement and oversee cost control measures and performance-boosting strategies
