Senior Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
A leading fintech company is looking for the Financial Manager to oversee financial operations, reporting, compliance, and financial planning for the company. This role will be responsible for treasury oversight, audit management, forecasting, regulatory compliance, and financial operations across multiple African jurisdictions, while supporting a complex multi-entity structure and driving strong financial governance and growth.

POSITION INFO:
Leading financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning. Developing and maintaining financial models covering revenue, costs, liquidity, funding, and unit economics. Delivering financial insights and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making. Evaluating new business opportunities, pricing strategies, and revenue optimisation initiatives. Overseeing end-to-end accounting operations, including reconciliations and month-end close processes. Ensuring accurate, timely, and IFRS-compliant financial reporting. Managing group reporting, consolidations, performance tracking, and scenario analysis. Strengthening financial controls, governance frameworks, and operational finance processes. Leading audits and coordinating with external auditors, regulators, and key stakeholders. Managing working capital, liquidity planning, and multi-currency treasury operations. Building and maintaining banking, exchange, and financial partner relationships across African markets. Overseeing FX exposure, crypto-to-fiat conversion economics, and counterparty risk management. Driving operational efficiency through automation, process improvements, and scalable financial systems. Partnering with cross-functional teams to support market expansion, regulatory initiatives, and product development. Building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing finance team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Skills & Experience: 10+ years of finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven background in fintech, payments, cryptocurrency, financial services, or cross-border settlement environments. Strong understanding of African regulatory frameworks, foreign exchange markets, and multi-jurisdictional financial operations. Demonstrated experience managing financial reporting, treasury, audits, tax, and compliance within regulated industries. Advanced financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills, with the ability to drive data-led decision-making. Strong stakeholder management capabilities, with experience partnering across legal, compliance, engineering, and executive teams. Strategic, hands-on leader with high integrity, a strong governance mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced growth environment.
