Our client is looking for a Senior Financial Manager to join their team in Petrus Steyn . The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial management function of the group, supporting strategic planning, ensuring financial and statutory compliance and managing internal financial processes If you are an experienced financial professional who is strategic, results-driven and confident in managing a finance function and leading a team, this could be the opportunity for you! Minimum requirements BCom degree in Accounting or Financial Management Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial management position Professional qualification such as CIMA or CA(SA) will be advantageous Experience in the agricultural industry will be advantageous Knowledge of Augtool and Xero accounting software will be advantageous Knowledge of SimplePay payroll software will be advantageous Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting and cash flow management Knowledge of SARS, CIPC and statutory compliance requirements Knowledge of labour-related compliance including EE, COIDA and SDL Fluent in Afrikaans Excellent communication skills Strong leadership and team management skills References are required Skills required Excellent financial management and analytical skills Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strategic and commercially minded with strong business acumen Results- and goal-oriented Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently and make sound financial decisions Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple financial functions and deadlines Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to communicate effectively with management, auditors, service providers and financial institutions High level of integrity and confidentiality Ability to work effectively with and manage a large team Duties and responsibilities Report directly to management on financial matters and performance Develop and implement the group’s strategic financial plans Manage provisional tax planning, reporting and payments Oversee internal financial processes including cash, debtors and creditors Conduct quarterly internal audits across all financial functions Liaise with external auditors and ensure audit requirements are met Manage relationships with third-party service providers, labour consultants and the bank relationship manager Set objectives and develop performance and development plans for the finance team Prepare and manage budgets and cash flow Review and authorise monthly salary payments Oversee EMP201 and VAT processing, reporting and payments Manage the corporate secretarial function for the group companies and trusts Ensure effective corporate governance across the group Ensure CIPC and SARS compliance Oversee compliance with labour-related requirements including EE, COIDA and SDL Manage and oversee HR processes Provide financial guidance and support to management in strategic decision-making Monitor the financial performance of the group and provide relevant reporting to management Identify financial risks and implement appropriate controls Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Develop, manage and support the finance team to achieve departmental objectives Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Ensure all financial processes and controls are effectively implemented and maintained Drive continuous improvement across the financial function Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company policies Remuneration Will be discussed during interview IMPORTANT: Applications close 15 October 2026 If you did not receive feedback within 14 days, please consider your application unsuccessful Only applications submitted via the Ditto Jobs platform will be considered Only candidates who meet all our client's minimum requirements will be contacted
