Senior Forensic Data Administrator

SUMMARY:
An Internal Vacancy exists for a Senior Forensic Data Administrator in the Specialised Services Division based in Centurion – Head Office

The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

POSITION INFO:
Main Purpose of Position:

• Capturing and updating of crime information on databases and compilation and distribution of advanced crime reports & statistics and general office administration
• Training and mentoring junior forensic data administrators ito data capturing duties
• Responsible for basic office administration of junior forensic data administrators and forensic data administrators
• Compile and performance appraisals of junior forensic data administrators and forensic data administrators
• Manage dedicated division workloads between junior forensic data administrators and forensic data administrators

• Capturing and updating of crime information on various databases
• Compile and distribute crime reports & statistics
• Assist & support investigators/managers/clients WRT crime information
• Feedback on requests and queries within reasonable time
• General office administration duties
• Providing training to junior forensic data administrators and forensic data administrators
• Providing mentoring and supervising duties to junior forensic data administrators and forensic data administrators
• Manage and maintain client service level agreement and output expectation

• MS office programs proficiency (advanced)
• Experience in report writing and presentation skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment
• Excellent written, verbal communication, report writing and presentation skills
• Dependable, work independently, meticulous and precise
• Well versed in observing and assessing information (analytical thinking)
• Ability to plan, organize, and supervise the work of others
• Leadership and management skills (emotional intelligence, adaptability, resilience & problem-solving skills)
• Ability to nurture beneficial business relations

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Advanced typing skills and working knowledge of Microsoft office (Advanced)
• Advanced excel skills
• Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record (Will be subjected to polygraph and background checks)
• Report writing skills/presentation skills
• Pass assessment test relevant to, 1. Attention to detail, 2. General data entry (UK), 3. General Aptitude, 4. Advanced copy typing and 5. Understanding instructions
• Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in data capturing
• Minimum of 1 year experience in crime statistical reports (Basic), training and mentoring
• Minimum of 2 years in basic forensic data analysis

• Experience in dealing with crime information will be an advantage
• Experience/training in Ciims Pro will be advantageous
• Required to work overtime from time to time
• Required to travel from time to time
• Own transport
