Our client is seeking a Senior Front-end UI/UX Developer
to be responsible for independently designing and implementing User Interfaces and User eXperiences across digital platforms. The role ensures solutions are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with user needs and business objectives. It requires the ability to translate business and technical requirements into effective designs, conduct usability testing, and collaborate closely with developers to deliver engaging, user-friendly digital applications. Must be familiar with the following technology stack: SQL Server, .Net 4.8, Angular, React, MVC

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Matric plus NQF Level 6 Qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a related field
• Entry-level certification in UI/UX (e.g., Interaction Design Foundation, Adobe XD, Figma)
• Training in accessibility standards, such as Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and design thinking principles
• Experience in UI/UX design and development
• Proven delivery of user interfaces and experiences in Agile or DevOps environments.
• Exposure to hybrid or cloud-native digital solutions
• Proven track record of designing and implementing user interfaces in Agile delivery environments
• Proven ability to collaborate in Agile or DevOps delivery environments
• Proven ability to design attractive, intuitive, and functional user interfaces
• Portfolio showcasing UI/UX design for web and mobile apps (Android and iOS)

• Independently design and develop UI components for web and mobile platforms
• Implement reusable and scalable design patterns Ensure adherence to brand and accessibility standards

• Translate requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups
• Conduct usability testing sessions and incorporate user feedback
• Apply design thinking methods to improve customer and employee journeys

• Embed accessibility principles (WCAG) into designs
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and governance standards
• Maintain consistency across platforms and devices

• Conduct basic usability and compatibility testing
• Record and escalate defects to senior UI/UX Developers
• Ensure designs are tested across multiple devices and browsers

• Document UI/UX design decisions and prototypes
• Maintain up-to-date design documentation, style guides, and reusable components repositories
• Support the creation of design guidelines
• Contribute to the creation of design libraries and UI/UX frameworks

• Work with Digital Channels Developers to implement UI/UX designs
• Partner with Integration Analysts and Business Analysts to validate requirements
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to align design with delivery

• Conduct functional and user acceptance testing for design implementations
• Identify and resolve UI/UX issues before release
• Validate performance and responsiveness across device

• Maintain style guides, component libraries, and design documentation
• Ensure design decisions are logged for reuse
• Contribute to CoE knowledge sharing initiatives

• Suggest enhancements to improve digital user experience
• Stay updated on new design frameworks, tools, and practices
• Contribute ideas for innovation pilots within the CoE
