POSITION INFO:
The Senior Fulfilment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company’s fulfillment center. They ensure that all orders are picked and packed in a timely manner, with 100% accuracy and monitor performance to make sure employees are working efficiently, meeting and exceeding targets and resolve any issues that may arise during the fulfillment process. The Senior Fulfilment Supervisor must be a strong Leader who is able to motivate staff to deal effectively with high volume periods, while keeping discipline and morale high.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of fulfilment clerks and picker/packers to ensure that orders are processed accurately, efficiently and 100% within SLA
- Ensure that Picking & Packing is on time & in full for each Sales Channel being Retail, Digital & Wholesale channels
- Work with fulfilment clerks to reallocate resources of the various picker/packer teams to ensure the above
- Ensure that gift wrapping and gift cards are completed as per customer’s request with 100% accuracy and in-line with SOP
- Ensure weekly reporting by each clerk is completed on time and accurately
- Monitor individual picker / packer performance to ensure minimum pick / pack outputs and metrics are being met and exceeded daily
- Ensure that all relevant documentation (e.g. leave forms) is timeously completed
- Develop a close relationship with Dispatch team to ensure the communication and timing of fulfilment activities is clear and exceptions and special orders are handled without issue or error
- Develop a close relationship with Supply Depot Receiving Supervisor to ensure Pick Face is adequately stocked and replenished to avoid any delays in order picking
- Review reports generated by the ERP (Odoo) to identify potential problems or bottlenecks in fulfillment processes, and to avoid repeat errors
- Look for and recommend opportunities to the Warehouse manager to improve picking efficiencies, pick routes and pick layout, and positioning of top 100 fast movers to maximise efficiencies
- Assist Warehouse Manager with Team Scheduling for high volume sales periods – including shift work and weekend work when required – especially over Black Friday, November and December periods
- Ensure staff morale & discipline remains high through good communication, motivation and upliftment of individuals and teams
- Work with Warehouse Manager to identify any non-performers or anomalies and follow due corrective procedure and performance improvement plans as per HR Policy
- Ensure that the Fulfilment DC and pack stations maintain a world class standard of organization and neatness throughout the day at all times
Experience
- 3- 5 years' experience in Warehousing / Fulfilment
- Preference if you've had experience at Amazon, Bash, Woolworths, Takealot etc.
Education
- Tertiary Diploma Supply Chain / Business / Logistics or similar
- B Degree advantageous
- Other Leadership
