An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Fund Accountant to join a leading financial services organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Johannesburg. This is a fantastic role for someone with strong financial reporting skills and a solid grasp of IFRS who is eager to play a pivotal role in a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, consolidate, and approve management accounts for group entities
• Conduct monthly, interim, and year-end consolidations and reporting
• Analyse Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements
• Calculate and approve advisory and management fees, and dividend payments
• Review and approve regulatory surveys
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Engage in ESG and sustainability reporting with asset management teams
• Draft board submissions and contribute to ad hoc projects
• Ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Perform competitor and financial trend analysis

Requirements:

• Relevant degree in Financial Accounting (Honours/CTA advantageous)
• Minimum 3 years’ financial reporting experience within financial services
• Strong IFRS knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills
• Experience with HFM, IDU, or real estate software (e.g., JDE) preferred
• Strong communication and analytical abilities
• Exposure to report writing and analysis
