Our client, a leading investment house, is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their high-performing finance team. This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious finance professional who has completed SAICA articles, built a solid foundation in conventional accounting, and gained exposure to fund accounting or investment administration. Duties: Prepare and review monthly management accounts and annual financial statements for investment funds and related entities. Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting activities. Prepare and review fund accounting journals, reconciliations, and general ledger transactions. Prepare and review Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations and supporting schedules. Perform balance sheet, cash, investment, and portfolio reconciliations. Assist with investor reporting and financial reporting packs. Support statutory audits and prepare audit working papers. Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax legislation, and regulatory reporting requirements. Liaise with fund managers, auditors, custodians, administrators, and other stakeholders. Identify opportunities to improve financial controls, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies. Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12) BCom BCom Accounting Honours (CTA) CA(SA) Experience: CA(SA) or eligible through the SAICA route. BCom Accounting and Honours\/CTA completed. Completed SAICA articles with a reputable audit firm. 4-7 years' post-articles experience within financial services, fund administration, investment management, or asset management. Strong conventional accounting experience, including financial statements, management accounts, consolidations, reconciliations, and month-end reporting. Exposure to fund accounting, investment accounting, or fund administration will be highly advantageous. Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
