POSITION INFO:

Our client, a dynamic Financial Services Organisation seeks to employ a Senior IT Manager to set and lead the technology strategy for their Organisatioin and is reasponsible for all aspects of the Business Units informtion technology and systems, as well as how these systems support and integrate with the Company''s partners, suppliers and customer networks and plays a critical role in both influencing and informing the Busines Unit''s strategic direction.  Strategically focusing on digital transformation and data and analytics for the Company as a key differentiator for the future.

KEY OUTPUTS

• To lead and manage a team of software developers, supporting them in building industry-leading products using robust architectural practices and innovative software solutions that are fit for purpose (Need to assist with coding and lead the team where necessary with this)
• Driving the adoption of agile principals througout develoipment teams
• A good understanding of system architecture and the ability to design a to-be state
• Lead a team that will deliver and meet the Company''s goals and objective aligned to its strategy. To ensure the development function is efficient by managing insourcing vs outstanding capacity with cost and delivery requirements
• Provide the strategic and operational framework for the design, development and delivery of BU information and technology systems
• Set objectives and strategies for the IT Department
• Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits
• Design and customize technological systems and platforms to imrpove customer experience
• Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization
• Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers
• Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance
• Direct and organize IT-related projects
• Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage
• Analyze the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions
• Building and visualizing data models for insights and utilisation across the Company.
• Creating the data management processes to allow efficient and effective data access for key stakeholder groups
• Develping and maintaining actual data warehouse and/or data mart solutions for the Company.
• Designing, driving and implementing respective data governance processes across the Company
• Co-create the strategy and roadmap for digital transformation of the Company''s business processes and systems to enable customer ecosystems
• Working with Business Enablement Manager to ensure solutions are delivered in the most effective way, meeting requirements, and minimizing rework

CRITICAL COMPETENCY AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Understanding of Azure devOps, Active Directory, IIS, Kerberos Security Architecture, Power Shell, STSADM and Central Admin functionality, SharePoint, Web Access, SharePoint, Disk Usage, SharePoint System Monitoring, SharePoint back-ups/restores
• Detailed knowledge of SharePoint Farm Level set-up and configuration
• Knowledge of Search Configuration, business connectivity services, business data catalogue
• ASP.NET, c#, SQL Server 2008/2012/2017/2019,  SQL Server reporting services, SharePoint  2010, Sliverlight, WPF, Windows Communication Foundation, Visual Studio, MS TFS, Release management
• Understanding/experience in RPA/Machine Learning
• A good understanding of enterprise architecture
• Understanding of Microsoft Cloud Services
• Business thinking, problem structuring and problem-solving ability
• Strategic thinking - continuous iprovement, strategy translation
• Strong people management (leadership) skills in a multidisciplinary environment
• Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• University graduate (BSc Computer Sciences or M Sc Preferable) with previous experience as IT Manager in financial services
• ITIL v3 Foundation Certification an advantage
• TOGAF Certification an advanatage
• 7+ years managing a development team
• Background in designing /developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
• Excelent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
• Previous digital transformatoin and data and analytics management experience
• Background in develiping IT systems digital transformation and data analytics management
• Exp in managing teams
• Financial Services Industry exp
