Senior IT Project Manager

Job Specific Knowledge / Experience

Job Specific Knowledge:

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in IT Project Management
• Excellent knowledge of project management frameworks and governance approaches throughout full life cycle, this may include Waterfall; Agile; Scrum; Hybrid as required
• Exposure to different project types - ideally with experience of delivering large scale projects, complex business and/or IT transformations
• Ability to manage globally disperse, virtual teams across several IT Services disciplines, within a mixed insourced and outsourced environment
• Previous budget accountability experience to forecast and manage project costs
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environment
• Proven success in providing on site leadership for project team by motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
• Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management
• Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
• Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executive’s sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers

• Ability to prioritise conflicting needs and balance work priorities, organise own workload, work with minimal supervision, and under pressure to meet deadlines, and respond quickly to new situations and changing priorities

 Industry Specific Experience:

• Sound knowledge of Project Management industry standards and methodologies
• Desirable – a broad understanding of EPCM industry, and related IT requirements

 Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

• PMP, PMI, PMBOK, Prince 2 Certification/ Accreditation or equivalent
• ITIL Qualification and experience highly regarded

 HSE Capability:

• Assume hands-on management and implementation of all relevant One-Way systems
• Assure compliance of all HSE systems, processes and procedures through the training, competence and performance of all personnel
• Achieve the objectives of the Zero-Harm vision through proactively implementing actions and/or corrective or mitigating actions, and by maintaining an overall knowledge and awareness of the work-place environment (operations, layout, hazards, risks, concurrent activities, personnel, etc.)
• Role-model a commitment to personal well-being and a pro-active approach to continuously improving health, safety and environmental performance

 IT Skills:

• Competent using project management software, such as MS Project or equivalent
• Competent using standard business and communications software, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint, Exchange, O365, Skype

• Interpersonal: Builds appropriate, constructive, and effective business relationships throughout the organization; uses diplomacy and tact; is approachable; communicates clearly, accurately, and consistently both verbally and in written matters.  Employs the principles of active listening and encourages feedback from others.

• Comfortable leading workshops, e.g. to identify risks and dependencies, build a project or program plan, or identify and plan benefits
• Strong knowledge and understanding of business need with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence

 Flexible Working Arrangements:

• This role is responsible for the management of Projects within the Region
• This role can be performed from the specific country the advert was originally placed
• This role is Full-time and does not accommodate for Part time or work share
• This role allows for Flexible working from home, with agreement with the line manager and HR
• On occasion this role may require some travel to locations where Worley are based
