JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking for a Senior IT Service Desk Technician, someone who's well groomed and experienced. Who will assist and support our team whether on the phone on in person.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Senior IT Services Desk Technician's Responsibilities:

Building a relationship with the users and ensuring that the customer’s needs are met, preventative maintenance.
Implement fallback procedures in event of disruption to ensure continuous delivery of service to the local client base.
Assisting with the planning, budgeting, motivating and implementation of necessary system and facility improvements.
Implementing, support and contribute to the development and maintenance of GIS processes, procedures and policies.
Assisting with the monthly performance surveys of the region and provide feedback to GIS management.
Excellent knowledge and application of all policies and procedures within GIS.
Assisting with the determining of requirements for local Business units and establish projected growth for each.
Administration – Procedures e.g. Change Control, logging incidents, adding printers to network on different VLAN’s, disaster recovery (backups) etc.
Troubleshooting skills on hardware, network and software.
Supporting of all D&T in-house programs, applications and hardware and keep abreast of the latest technology in the industry, both Hardware and Software.
Have ability to guide team members on technical issues.
Technical knowledge sharing amongst all support team members and ensuring effective communication within the rest of the team.
Backup for supporting LAN Administrator when required.
Keep Server and hub rooms up to D&T Standard.

Senior IT Services Desk Technician's Requirements:

Relevant qualifications.
Must have 4 - 5 years technical experience with good hardware, software and network knowledge.
Knowledge of of A+, MOUS and N+ will an advantage.
Knowledge of MCS and PABX exposure.
Exceptional communication skills.
Be self disciplined.
Be reliable and efficient.
Have strong technical knowledge.
Have management skills.
Fault analysis.
Have responsive client service.
Continuous improvement of service quality through technical solutions.
Be professional and responsible.
