Senior IT Support Technician

SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading and innovative IT company, based in Pretoria East, is seeking an experienced and on the ball Senior IT Technician to join their dynamic team.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements:

• MCSE Certification or equivalent.
• 4+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• A+ and N+ Certifications are advantageous.
• Knowledge of all Microsoft Operating Systems and Hyper-V.
• Knowledge and understanding of Server 2012-2019.
• Experience with configuration, administration and migration of Offic365.
• Networking experience (WAN/LAN and Wireless).

Main responsibilities:

• Installation, configuration, and support of all Microsoft Operating Systems.
• Installation, configuration, and support of Hyper-V (VMWare optional).
• Installation, configuration and support of Microsoft Office and all related software and hardware (desktop and server),
• Installing, configuring, maintaining and Troubleshooting client servers.
• Networking (WAN/LAN and Wireless).
• Administering and performing backups.
• Compiling of desktop and server configuration documentation for client sites.
• Proactive security management.
• Advanced Troubleshooting on all IT related equipment.
• Design, Scope and implementation of AD; Exchange and Office 365 migrations.
• Logging and following up on calls with external suppliers and service providers.
• Completion of detailed technical documentation.
