SUMMARY:

Senior IT technician

Our client, a growing company in the IT industry, is looking for a Senior IT Technician to join their team in the Centurion area.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric;
• National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science;
• 5 years’ experience as a support engineer or support technician;
• Experience in end user support and networking;
• Valid driver’s license; and
• Must be willing to travel.

Technical Requirements:

• Networking skills in LAN, VLAN, WAN;
• Knowledge of Microsoft;
• Knowledge of SAMBA is beneficial; and
• Experience with Windows and Linux servers.

Main Responsibilities:

• Providing full stack IT support;
• Provide technical support to customers;
• Performing end user support duties;
• Assisting and teaching team members;
• Installation, configuration and control of SAMBA;
• Ad hoc administration duties;
• Creation and control of users in a Hybrid AD environment; and
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients.
