SUMMARY:

Senior IT technician

Our client, a growing company in the IT industry, is looking for a Senior IT Technician to join their team in the Centurion area.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

Matric;
National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science;
5 years’ experience as a support engineer or support technician;
Experience in end user support and networking;
Valid driver’s license; and
Must be willing to travel.

Technical Requirements:

Networking skills in LAN, VLAN, WAN;
Knowledge of Microsoft;
Knowledge of SAMBA is beneficial; and
Experience with Windows and Linux servers.

Main Responsibilities:

Providing full stack IT support;
Provide technical support to customers;
Performing end user support duties;
Assisting and teaching team members;
Installation, configuration and control of SAMBA;
Ad hoc administration duties;
Creation and control of users in a Hybrid AD environment; and
Building and maintaining relationships with clients.
