SUMMARY:
Senior Information Security Analyst

POSITION INFO:

Work with other security personnel to provide security solutions to the organization.

Proactively identify security risk and take action to implement improvements or mitigation plans.

Develop, maintain and enforce security policies, procedures and standard for the organisation.

Coordinate information security inspections, tests and reviews.

Provide security related advice to projects or initiatives working with project managers, architects, and other project team members to define metrics and performance goals for solutions.

Work with other supplier’s specialists and architects to ensure the security components integrate with the work of other work streams (Network, Operations. Solutions Delivery and Software Testing), fulfil the requirements, and meet quality and performance goals.

Participate in quality management reviews, in particular design reviews.

Oversee and administer security systems and applications.

 Assist in developing security component build plans (security technology, operations, and management) to support the construction of the security Architecture, ensuring that it meets the requirements and adhere to the implementation leading practice guidelines.

Assist in the integration of the security components (security technology, operations, and management) in projects and systems.

Review and integrate the security architecture requirements for production and sub-production environments.

Skills Requirements

The senior security analyst will be part of the team that manage, maintain and support the  ICT infrastructure in conjunction with other system administrators, database administrators and system maintenance Consultant. It is therefore crucial that the proposed candidate have the following;

Excellent Design and Implementation skills 

Initiate and/or participate in problem management process

Must have experience analysing and implementing firewall rules on Fortigate security devices.

Strong technical ability to troubleshoot firewall problems involving complex network application flows between multiple hosts spanning multiple firewalls/security zones and different geographic locations

Proven hands-on experience with firewalls and a comprehensive knowledge of IP networking and network security including Intrusion Detection, DMZ, encryption, IPsec, PKI, VPNs, MPLS/VPN, Site to Site VPN tunnels, SSL/VPN, proxy services, and DNS

Experience with routers and switches, and a good understanding of IP sub netting and routing such as OSPF and BGP.

Excellent Documentation Skills

Ability to train and develop others 9) Preference will be given to people with CheckPoint experience as well
