Senior Internal Auditor

A large, Cape-Town–based global organisation that specialises in high-performance digital solutions is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to take the lead on audits, evaluate internal control systems, and enhance operational efficiency across the organisation.

Duties:

• Support the development of risk-based annual audit plans
• Design and execute audit procedures with a strong focus on data analytics
• Conduct audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of internal controls
• Identify key risk areas and propose mitigation strategies
• Discuss findings with line managers and report significant issues to senior management
• Prepare audit reports in line with approved plans
• Monitor implementation of management actions recommended in audit reports
• Lead internal audits and support ad-hoc investigations as required
• Stay up-to-date with trends and developments in internal auditing

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting or Internal Audit
• CA(SA) / CIA, CFE, CISA, or equivalent certification

• 5+ years’ internal audit experience in professional services or in-house audit functions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders effectively
• Proven experience delivering audit findings using data analytics
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
• Experience with data-driven audits and tools (SQL, PowerBI, Tableau)
• Familiarity with regulations and compliance requirements
• ISO certification
• Experience in managing multiple projects and teams
