Senior Investment Officer

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Investment Officer to join the Investment team.

The role is suited to an experienced investment or business finance professional who combines strong financial analysis with commercial thinking and the ability to build meaningful relationships within the SME market.

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying investment opportunities, assessing potential clients, structuring financing solutions and monitoring portfolio performance. Key Responsibilities Conduct market research to identify potential clients and strategic partnerships. Build and strengthen business networks through networking events, conferences and industry forums. Assess the financial health and potential risks of targeted companies through comprehensive due diligence. Develop detailed financial models covering revenue projections, cost analysis, risk assessment and return calculations. Prepare comprehensive investment reports outlining findings, risks and potential returns. Structure and negotiate viable financing solutions based on risk and targeted returns. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the broader SME market. Monitor and evaluate the performance of client portfolios. Keep up to date with industry regulations, market dynamics and economic trends. Job Experience and Skills Required BCom degree in Accounting, Finance or another business-related field. Minimum of Financial Accounting 2 or equivalent. 5-7 or more years' experience in business investment or a business finance-related role. Experience in auditing, banking, financial accounting and\/or sales and marketing will be advantageous. Strong financial background with sound analytical ability. Strong relationship-building and networking skills. Strong negotiation and influencing skills. Results-focused approach. Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking.
