SUMMARY:
A well-known Food Speciality and Commodity Chemical Raw Material company requires the above to manage overseas principals and Senior Food Key Accounts in Gauteng maximizing profitability, controlling working capital, growing portfolio’s and achieving budgetary objectives.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Tertiary qualification in Food Technology or related qual is pref.
  • Previous Key Account Manager / Product Manager experience having worked within the food and related raw material industries calling on food manufacturing markets is essential.
  • The successful candidate must be a strong team player with the ability to build and foster relationships.
  • Must be fast paced, results and sales driven with a strong sales force.
  • Must have a good business acumen with good analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills is essential.
  • Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: 

  • Manage Senior Key Accounts within the beverages, dairy, bakery, confectionary and related food sectors.
  • Develop and implement key account plans and strategies to ensure sales targets and objectives are on target.
  • Develop a transverse relationship with the customer and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Establish and achieve monthly and annual budgets, based on customer information and forecasts and prepare annual budgets for Senior Management.
  • Identify new business opportunities by leveraging the full potential of the company’s product and services portfolio.
  • Identify customer needs and drive opportunities in agreement with the commercial business strategy and the market in order to increase customer profitability for sustainable and profitable mutual growth.
  • Drive and deploy operational and strategic plans jointly with the customer and the internal organisation.
  • Establish and maintain strong business relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Ensure timeous and correct delivery of goods to customers.
  • Effectively implement price increases and maintain monthly / quarterly price lists to customers.
  • Introduce new principals and product ranges to the market.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
