SUMMARY:
Job Title: Labour Legal Advisor
Location: Sandton
Remuneration: R26 000 – R28 000

Our client, a Training and Skills Development Specialist, is looking for a Labour Legal Advisor to join their team in Sandton. We require your experience in representing clients at the CCMA and/or Bargaining Council.

We are looking for your experience in chairing disciplinary hearings, poor work performance, incapacity hearings, grievances, retrenchments, union negotiations, strike management on behalf of the company or client.

Duties and Responsibilities

Attending on-site client appointments, including chairing disciplinary hearings, poor work performance, incapacity hearings, grievances, retrenchments, union negotiations, strike management etc.
Representing clients at the CCMA or Bargaining Council, including drafting of necessary documentation
Drafting of employment contracts, policies, documents/ agreements
Attending to client telephonic- email enquiries and drafting opinions
Take responsibility for general administrative duties, record-keeping, statistics, and report generation
Provide training sessions to clients
Conducting research and drafting up-to-date newsletters
Attend to telephonic queries after hours
Providing support services to management and colleagues
Contribute to the delivery and promotion of company services
Delivering other services offered by the business as required

POSITION INFO:
Required qualification and working knowledge:

LLB Degree
2 – 3 Years of experience with Employment Law
2+ Years of experience representing clients at the CCMA and/or Bargaining Council
Admission as an Attorney or Advocate
Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of labour law
Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans
Ability to work well under pressure, with excellent administrative, time management, communication, and writing skills
Must demonstrate adaptability, initiative, and confidence.
Must have a reliable personal vehicle
Possess a valid driver’s license
