SUMMARY:
The University of Fort Hare is seeking applications from appropriately qualified and experienced candidates for Senior Lecturer in Agricultural Extension Ref No. 1190 Alice Campus (Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension) who is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• A Doctoral degree in Agricultural Extension with emphasis on Agricultural Extension Communication and/or Rural  Sociology.
• At least five years’ experience in university teaching.
• A record of publications in accredited peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience in supervision of post-graduate students.
• Past involvement in community engagement activities.

Responsibilities include:

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in Agricultural Extension.  
• Supervise research at honours, masters and doctorate levels.
• Generate research funds for the University.
• Contribute to the Department’s research output.
• Contribute to academic leadership in/of the Department.
• Contribute to community engagement activities.
