POSITION INFO:
The University of Fort Hare is seeking applications from appropriately qualified and experienced candidates for Senior Lecturers in Computer Science (2 Positions) Alice Campus who is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement.

Responsibilities:  

• Teach students at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
• Supervise Honours, Masters and Doctoral postgraduate students.
• Develop and contribute to the research strategies of the Department and publish journals and conference papers.
• Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching and/or research.
• Provide academic leadership, participate in curriculum development, and perform administrative duties when required.

• Doctoral degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline.
• At least 5 years’ teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Successful supervision of postgraduates.
• Evidence of ongoing research activity and dissemination of research findings, including a record of publications in accredited national and internationally-recognized research journals and conferences.
• Evidence of professional and academic standing in the field of specialization.
• Evidence of strong education citizenship / community engagement.

• A professional teaching qualification.
• NRF Rating
