Senior Legal Counsel

SUMMARY:
You will be responsible for supporting the Group Legal Team in relation to advice and guidance of internal clients with respect to the implementation, execution and monitoring of relevant and appropriate policy, regulatory and compliance frameworks in South Africa on a day to day basis

POSITION INFO:

Experience

• 5 7 years’ post qualification experience in an in house legal department, ideally in the consumer goods sector
• Strong understanding of key areas of laws

    Qualification

• B Com / Bachelor’s Degree and LLB

       Admitted Attorney or Advocate

Competencies

• Excellent understanding of the law and legal principles necessary to provide legal services to the company
• Ability to coordinate, facilitate and participate in a collaborative approach as a trusted advisor and solution provider under the supervision of a Senior Counsel
• Ability to research and formulate concrete legal solutions based on a comprehensive and robust understanding of relevant commercial aspects and an in depth legal analysis to minimise legal risk
• Ability to drive the completion of legal tasks or assignments adhering to established project management practices
• Ability to deliver on time and in full, as committed to internal clients and in relation to the management of expectations and relationships
• Ability to effectively and efficiently identify, gather and research information from online and offline legal and related sources
