SUMMARY:
We are seeking the skills of a Senior MS Project Planner to join our team in Vanderbijlpark. Must be skilled in reading mechanical drawings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Matric Grade 12, or N3
Technical Qualification would be advantageous
10 years’ experience in Fabrication and Engineering

EXPERIENCE:

Understand Manufacturing and Engineering processes.
Work under pressure
Good communication skills
Have good problem-solving skills and can make quick, effective decisions
Be numerate and have planning and analytical skills
Have appropriate IT skills.
Read and understand drawings
Advanced MS Project Skills (Expert Level)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Schedule all projects in the works ensuring optimal use of resources.
Daily updating of schedules based on progress.
Provide Forward load projects based on scheduling.
Provide Project Engineers with accurate schedules for reporting purposes.
Provide Sales department with schedules for quotation purposes.
Manage the following:
Opening/Loading of projects ensuring relevant information is available and loaded in the projects folder.
Planning of projects (BOM’s) in accordance to order scope, drawings, sketches & specifications as discussed in Handover / Engineering Meetings.
Review Planning on Route sheets in accordance with relevant information
Generates planning/scheduling on projects due to scope changes, NCR’s or CD’s and communicate with Superintendents and Foreman on various details during manufacturing process.
Release Works Orders
Various adhoc duties will be expected to be performed outside the above mentioned scope to assist the team from time to time.
