SUMMARY:
Our International client is looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join their team in Qatar. The ideal applicant will be responsible for monitoring professional standards and developing new systems and procedures that will impact on all work areas. They will also be involved in resource management and may be responsible for managing a team of professional and other staff. Requires a highly experienced professional who is responsible for formulating operational plans and providing meaningful input on accounting / finance policies and procedures.

POSITION INFO:

Key Accountabilities
Annual Budgeting

Providing a professional financial management and accounting service to the Company for entire Budget cycle, ensuring essential procedures are implemented and standards of practice maintained. (Details – Preparation of the Annual budget in detail)

Operational Planning: Monthly Forecasting and Planning

Concurrent to the needs of business and changes in actual process, forecasting module is been re-defined, developed and delivered. (Monthly Forecast and forecast Cost of Production)

Financial Planning:

Provides financial, accounting and management accounting input into business plans, Budget and Forecast. This is the core activity and actively involved in the entire process. ( BRC Meetings, Budget Vs Actual Meetings, CAPEX Vs OPEX justifications)

Automation of the Budgetary/Forecasting process

Development of an automated system for preparation of the Budget & Forecast

Monitoring of Budget Vs. Actual

Monitoring of Actual Cost with Budget by each department to control the actual cost

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

BA, B.Sc. Graduate in Finance or Accounting and membership of a recognized professional body – Minimum 5 years’ experience.
Well rounded knowledge of accounting / finance standards.
Computer skills
Planning and organising skills
Management potential and leadership ability
Good standard of written and spoken English and well developed report writing ability.
Report writing skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Problem solving skills
