A Reserve situated between Cape Town and Knysna is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and self-sufficient Senior Management Couple to lead their team. The ideal candidates are a proactive, outgoing duo who thrive on guest engagement and operational excellence. They must have a proven track record in 5-star luxury properties, the ability to work independently, and a hands-on approach to management.

REQUIREMENTS:

General Requirements (Both Candidates)

Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in 5-star properties (lodges, hotels, or safari camps)
Transport: Own reliable transport
Licensing: Valid driver’s licence (essential for both)
Management: Strong team management and time management skills
Mindset: Creative, out-of-the-box thinking with the ability to think on their feet
Autonomy: Able to work independently without supervision
Personality: Outgoing, confident, with strong guest engagement and hosting skills
Language: Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Other: No children allowed on site

Position-Specific Requirements

Him – Lodge Manager / Head Guide

Essential Qualifications & Certifications:

FGASA Level 1 Marine (or Level 1 with Marine to be completed within 6 months of employment)
All guiding qualifications must be up to date and valid
First Aid Level 1
Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)

Skills & Competencies:

Strong maintenance and vehicle maintenance skills
Excellent hosting skills (dinners, bush banqueting, guest entertainment)
Basic HR knowledge (disciplinary procedures, staff rostering, performance management)
Ability to lead guided activities and ensure guest safety at all times

Her – Assistant Lodge Manager / Host & Administrator

Essential Requirements:

PAN (Property Administrator Network) knowledge – essential
Strong administrative skills
Computer literacy (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook)
Basic HR knowledge (recruitment, employee files, leave administration)
Strong hosting skills (check-ins, dining, guest relations)

Advantageous:

All-rounder knowledge across all lodge departments (Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance, Guiding)
Valid driver’s licence
