Senior Manager: IT Audit

SUMMARY:
To provide assurance on the adequacy of IT internal control systems.

POSITION INFO:

High Level Objectives:

1. Input into, and execution of the Internal Audit Strategy.
2. Develop, monitor and manage IT audit universe and risk-based annual audit plan to determine the priorities of the portfolio.
3. Track audit coverage and report on progress to the Head of Internal Audit.
4. Conduct IT risk assessments, audit planning and resource planning.
5. Performing continuous audit reviews of working papers, reports and supporting evidence and providing the relevant auditor with adequate review feedback.
6. Perform audits on projects where applicable in the IT environment
7. Documentation management and retention, managing quality in line with the quality assurance improvement programme.
8. Monitoring and enforcing the standards of the Bank’s Internal Audit Division and IIA.
9. Researching professional developments and aligning the work processes etc. for relevant emerging requirements.
10. Ensure that internal quality assurance reviews (QAR) meet quality standards.
11. Compiling divisional audit committee summaries, trends and statistics and assisting with the compilation of the board audit committee summary.
12. Track audit issues and report to the Head of Internal Audit on progress
13. Lead and guide audit team on engagements.
14. People Management.
15. Stakeholder Management.

Qualifications and Experience required:

• Honours in Computer Science studies or other relevant qualification in Computer Auditing, Finance and Management is essential.
• CIA qualification is desirable.
• CISA is essential.
• 8-10 Years relevant IT audit experience.
• 8-10 Years’ experience in a Banking environment.
• Membership of a professional body is essential.

• Knowledge and technical competencies required:

  • Knowledge of data analysis, ACL, CAATS.
  • Knowledge of business process analysis.
  • Knowledge of IT governance and control industry frameworks, including COBIT, RiskIT, Val IT and Prince 2.
  • Knowledge of IT industry frameworks such as ITIL.
  • Knowledge of pre-implementation and post implementation review.
  • Control frameworks such as COSO and COBIT.
  • Project Management audit.
  • Enterprise risk services with a specific focus on IT and related industry standards.
  • Implementation, operations, and management of IT infrastructure.
  • Information systems security assessment, design, architecture, implementation.
  • Management and reporting.
  • IT General and Applications Controls Reviews.
