Senior Manager Strategic Communication

SUMMARY:
To manage the strategic positioning of the organization and internal and external brand engagement.

POSITION INFO:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

        B Degree in Communications/Public Relations/Marketing/Journalism

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

        6-10 years’ work experience in Marketing, Stakeholder Relations, Media Relations, and Communications in the Private or Public Sector

        At least 5 years experience at the middle management or senior management level

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

        To establish the Strategic Communication Business Unit as a pro-active, value-adding source of expertise, assistance and consulting advice;

        To strategically direct and supervise the strategic communication activities of the CIPC;

        To strategically direct and supervise the brand management activities of the CIPC;

        To provide advice to the Commissioner and the executive on brand management and strategic communication matters and to represent the CIPC in relevant forums;

        To manage and co-ordinate the strategic and business planning and budgeting for the Business Unit and monitor the implementation of the business plan and related projects;

        To ensure adherence to human resource, financial and administrative strategies, policies, and procedures in the Business Unit;

        To ensure the proper administration, governance, and risk management of the business unit.
