SUMMARY:
We are looking for a professional, experienced Mechanical Engineer to execute the complete mechanical hardware development lifecycle. The goal is to create scalable and optimized mechanical hardware on electronic water management products.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities include:

Designing and implementing electromechanical water management products.

Mechanical hardware design that include enclosures, product housings, mechanical interfaces, and water valve design.

Testing of prototypes.

Reporting to the Manufacturing and Engineering Director.

Working within ISO9001:2015 standards.

Create Specifications and Test documents.

Integrate and validate new product designs.

Provide postproduction support for improvements and changes to products.

Interface with electronic design, Test Equipment, and development teams.

Assist Validation Test Department during mechanical hardware and product testing.

Version control of designs and mechanical hardware.

Design, plan, document and develop new mechanical hardware products from initial requirements through prototypes to production ready.

Maintain existing mechanical designs and develop new variants of existing products to add new features, deal with component end-of-life, etc.

Design tooling requirements for the plastic injection parts designed for the products.

Work with the toolmakers to ensure we have a 100% functional tool when released for production

Work collaboratively with Hardware team members, Firmware Engineering and Manufacturing to produce reliable, standards compliant, world-class products and designs.

Assist with fault finding and analysis of product field returns.

Requirements:

Be familiar with the plastic and silicone raw material compatible with water and potable water.

Proven working experience in mechanical hardware design and development.

BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant Mechanical Qualifications.

Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on mechanical products.

Familiarity with configuration management tools.

Have experience in designing Plastic injection moulding tools.

Component Reviews and approvals.

Strong documentation and writing skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a product design team.

Attention to detail.

Min 5 years’ experience with Mechanical Hardware Development.
