Purpose of the Job:
To provide technical expertise, leadership, and support for safe and efficient mining operations
 
Required Qualifications & Experience

1. BSc./BTech in Geology (BSc Hons. Is advantageous)
2. At least 3-5 years’ experience post qualification as a Senior Geologist
3. Experience with 3D Geological modelling software(e.g. Maptek Vulcan, SpatialXL)
4. Must possess intensive core logging experience
5. Experience on overseeing a surface drilling programme
6. Knowledge of exploration programme and be able to present data

POSITION INFO:
Technical Tasks, Competencies & Experience:

1. Sampling and core logging.
2. Always make sure that the "Diamond Drill Core Logging and Sampling Procedure" is followed for QA/QC compliance.
3. Supervising geological aspects in different areas and sample dispatch.
4. Evaluate the results of the resources.
5. Keeping an eye on drilling meters and updating mine plans
6. Make sure the drilling direction is followed according to the plan.
7. Communicating with drilling supervisors.
8. Assure geological data interpretation and grade control.
