JOB SUMMARY:
South Africa’s most prominent global records and information management specialist are in search of a Senior Financial Accountant to join their JSE Listed ranks. The main purpose of the job will be to ensure sound financial control, processing and reporting plus ensuring accurate processing and reconciliation of all bank accounts within the group nationally and submit and manage the payroll function from an account perspective nationally.

This is a great opportunity to join a JSE listed company in a field that is arguably outpacing many other industries, and that is “information management”. The ideal candidate must either be a CA(SA) or hold a B.Com with Articles. Experience in completing all income taxation calculations and returns is essential, not to mention operational finance experience.

As Senior Financial Accountant you will be responsible for:

Ensures that the required financial reporting systems, accounting systems, and internal control procedures are in place to enable effective financial management
Produces accurate and complete management accounts monthly and ensures that the reporting deadlines are adhered to
Manages cost and financial accounting processes by producing accurate and on-time monthly statutory returns
Responsible for the accurate and up to date reconciliation of all General Ledger accounts, and ensure all sub-modules reconcile
Maintains and the asset registers, including annual reviews
Manages and ensures efficient year-end processes and the timely submission of financial year-end reports
Facilitates internal audit CSA’s and any internal audits
Facilitates the year-end audit process with the external auditors
Manages to full budgeting process for necessary businesses to meet deadlines and group requirements
Ensures accurate processing and reconciliation of all bank accounts
Responsible for bimonthly cashflow forecasts and the daily input of bank balances
Assist HR to resolve all payroll related issues identified
Provides input into project costing as required to ensure profitability
Reviews pricing for tenders and proposals as per the agreed approval process
Reports on operational expenditure and P&L monthly, and as required, to ensure correct allocations and to identify potential issues within the businesses
Completion and submission of all statutory returns and the payment thereof within the required deadlines set by SARS
Responsible for all internal billing and the elimination thereof for group reporting
Responsible for all income tax calculations and workings for all relevant companies nationally

Job Experience and Skills Required:

CA(SA) OR B.Com with Articles
Experience in a operational finance role
Sage X3 beneficial
Experience in completing all income taxation calculations and returns essential
