Senior Payroll Administrator - Makhanda

SUMMARY:
With over 1,500 employees across our operations, this role plays a critical part in ensuring our payroll function runs efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will combine analytical thinking with a strong eye for detail to deliver reliable payroll and reporting support across the business.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Support the full payroll process for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support in maintaining and reconciling payroll records, ensuring compliance with SARS regulations and labour legislation.
• Handle queries related to payroll, benefits, and deductions.
• Conduct data analysis, variance checks, and audit preparations.
• Work closely with the Payroll Manager and HR team to ensure alignment between payroll and other employee data systems.

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a payroll or senior bookkeeping role.
• Proficiency in Sage/VIP Payroll or similar systems.
• Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Sound knowledge of tax, UIF, SDL, and BCEA compliance.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
