SUMMARY:
Are you a commercially minded actuary with a passion for pricing and product innovation within Short-Term Insurance? A leading financial services group is looking for a Senior Pricing Specialist to lead advanced pricing models, drive product development, and support profitable business growth. This role offers exposure to strategic pricing decisions and leadership within a high-performing actuarial team.

POSITION INFO:
Pricing & Product Development: Develop, maintain, and implement market-leading short-term insurance pricing models Identify and implement data and rating enhancements to improve pricing accuracy Own model performance and act on variances between expected and actual experience Develop and implement pricing strategies for new and existing products Support innovation through the development of new products and enhancement of existing offerings Governance & Analytics: Drive pricing governance, ensuring models and methodologies are well-documented and controlled Provide pricing and analytical support to the business using data-driven insights Translate complex actuarial concepts into client- and stakeholder-friendly language Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Manage and mentor actuarial team members Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders Support a culture of innovation, performance, and continuous improvement Skills & Experience: Advanced actuarial modelling and statistical analysis skills Strong commercial and business acumen Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities Experience with large datasets and pricing software tools Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Business Sciences, or Business Mathematics Qualified Actuary (FIA \/ FFA \/ FASSA) - Highly advantageous Minimum 8 years' experience in actuarial pricing and product development within Short-Term Insurance Commercial lines pricing experience (Advantageous) Minimum 5-8 years' people management experience (Desirable) Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel SQL, SAS, R, Python Pricing tools such as Earnix, AKUR8, Willis Towers Watson Contact: Bianca Langenhoven on Connect with us on and Register your CV to view all our Financial Services and Actuarial recruitment vacancies.
