Senior Production Planner - Manufacturing

SUMMARY:
A large Precision Engineering Manufacturing company in Cape Town is looking for a qualified and experienced Production Planner

POSITION INFO:

Education:

1. Matric
2. Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (advantageous)
3. Production management certificate

Required Skills - NON NEGOTIABLE

• Proficient in  MS Excel, MS Power Point, Ms Word and SAP
• Attention to detail
• Ability to drive innovation and change
• Strong customer service ethic
• Mentoring and coaching skills

Experience:

• MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS WORKING AS A PRODUCTION PLANNER WITHIN A PRECISION MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY
• 3-years min working experience on SAP WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT AND PRODUCTION MODULES

Duties:

• Able to manage the full Production Planning cycle
• Determine the amount of material, equipment and labour for the production
• Resolving production issues
• Coordination production operations
• Recommending solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and quality
• Report to management
• Lead changes to operational excellence
• Investigating of stock/production variances
• Manage IR activities with in the department
