SUMMARY:
A large Precision Engineering Manufacturing company in Cape Town is looking for a qualified and experienced Production Planner

POSITION INFO:

Education:

Matric
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (advantageous)
Production management certificate

Required Skills - NON NEGOTIABLE

Proficient in MS Excel, MS Power Point, Ms Word and SAP
Attention to detail
Ability to drive innovation and change
Strong customer service ethic
Mentoring and coaching skills

Experience:

MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS WORKING AS A PRODUCTION PLANNER WITHIN A PRECISION MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY
3-years min working experience on SAP WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT AND PRODUCTION MODULES

Duties:

Able to manage the full Production Planning cycle
Determine the amount of material, equipment and labour for the production
Resolving production issues
Coordination production operations
Recommending solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and quality
Report to management
Lead changes to operational excellence
Investigating of stock/production variances
Manage IR activities with in the department
