SUMMARY:
We have an exciting opportunity with our client in the Insurance Sector who is looking for Senior Programme Manager to assume control of a large financial programme in mid-flight and successfully deliver to finalisation.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

Oversight and management of Programme delivery across multiple workstreams, including change management, through design, build, implementation, and closure.
Oversight and management of the programme design and structure in consultation with the Programme Lead, including identification and assignment of work-packages, governance structures, and high-level roles and responsibilities, optimising these as required.
Schedule management, including the management of fairly complex dependencies between workstreams.
Identification and management of programme risks, including prioritisation and mitigation.
Programme financial management, including annual budget setting, tracking and projections and cost control. Oversight of the cost centre, including monthly accruals and capex/opex splits.
Management of the team of Project Managers, Scrum Masters and Administration staff currently assigned, optimising the structure and roles going forward as required.
Oversight and management of the broader project team, including internal programme communications, and resource and vendor management.
Oversight and management of progress reporting to the Board, the Executive, and externally, as required, and to the Steering Committee and other governance structures on a regular basis.
Oversight and management of Project artifacts and records

Desired Experience & Qualification

Significant experience in managing large programmes to successful completion, 5 years plus required.
Knowledge and experience of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, and their combination.
Programme Management certification preferred (PgMP, or equivalent)
Agile Practitioner certification an asset (PMI-ACP or equivalent)
Experience with Finance programmes / projects required, with Insurance programmes / projects preferred.
Experience with SAP implementation an asset, S4 HANA ideally.
Knowledge and experience of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is an asset, ideally detailed understanding of IFRS 17.
Implementation of Finance programmes and experience in implementing Groupwide IFRS17 standards.
