SUMMARY:
Senior Programme Manager (contract)

POSITION INFO:

Senior Programme Manager required to assume control of a large financial programme in mid-flight and successfully deliver to finalisation.

• Significant experience in managing large programmes to successful completion, 5 years plus required.
• Knowledge and experience of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, and their combination.
• Programme Management certification preferred (PgMP, or equivalent)
• Agile Practitioner certification an asset (PMI-ACP or equivalent)
• Experience with Finance programmes / projects required, with Insurance programmes / projects preferred.
• Experience with SAP implementation an asset, but not required, S4 HANA ideally.
• Knowledge and experience of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is an asset, ideally detailed understanding of IFRS 17.

Duties include:

• Oversight and management of Programme delivery across multiple workstreams, including change management, through design, build, implementation, and closure.
• Oversight and management of the programme design and structure in consultation with the Programme Lead, including identification and assignment of work-packages, governance structures, and high-level roles and responsibilities, optimising these as required.
• Schedule management, including the management of fairly complex dependencies between workstreams.
• Identification and management of programme risks, including prioritisation and mitigation.
• Programme financial management, including annual budget setting, tracking and projections and cost control.  Oversight of the cost centre, including monthly accruals and capex/opex splits.
• Management of the team of Project Managers, Scrum Masters and Administration staff currently assigned, optimising the structure and roles going forward as required.
• Oversight and management of the broader project team, including internal programme communications, and resource and vendor management.
• Oversight and management of progress reporting to the Board, the Executive, and externally, as required, and to the Steering Committee and other governance structures on a regular basis.
• Oversight and management of Project artifacts and records
