SUMMARY:
Africaâs Largest edible oil manufacturer requires a Senior Project Engineer to drive the design, construction, commissioning, and hand over of various on-site and off-site projects. Reporting to the Engineering Manager: Infrastructure.

Qualifications and requements:
- BEng Mechanical Engineering essential
- Minimum of 5 yearsâ relevant working experience
- Leadership abilities/qulaifties is key to the role
- Experience within an FMCG environment
- Experience in mechanical Design, P&ID, Project management, Commissioning and project execution, preferred
- Hands-on experience in managing a team
- MS Office Suite
- Flexibility to travel within the Western Cape
Duites include:- Onsite construction, implementation, and supervision of various projects
- Onsite commissioning of engineering projects
- Assist the Engineering Manager: Projects, in any project engineering activities
- Contribute to the continuous optimization of the production process
- Ensure overall compliance to relevant procedures and policies
- Ensure that all team members have clearly defined job profiles
- Regular goal reviews are completed to assess achievement of results
- Support, coaching and mentoring is continuously provided to ensure that objectives are met
- Appropriate allocation of resources to meet operational demands
- Ensure adequate succession planning in order to meet ongoing and anticipated business requirements
- Draft manuals and procedures as required within the department
