POSITION INFO:

At iOCO, we're more than just a company; we're a dynamic team committed to pioneering solutions that matter, driving business agility, and ensuring digital resilience for our clients.

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a critical project within the financial services sector, with a specific focus on credit card and consumer credit initiatives. This is a 6-month contract position based in Cape Town, with the potential for renewal based on performance and project needs.

What you’ll do:

• Plan, initiate, and manage end-to-end delivery of a high-impact financial services project.
• Engage and manage stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment, buy-in, and timely execution.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks with clear and effective reporting.
• Navigate a dynamic and challenging environment with confidence and professional diplomacy.
• Drive delivery across cross-functional teams, ensuring accountability and progress.
• Conduct regular status updates and steer project governance forums.

 

Your expertise:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within financial services, ideally with credit card project experience.
• Minimum of 6 years’ project management experience, including complex stakeholder environments
• Strong command of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
• Excellent people skills – able to manage difficult conversations and drive decisions while maintaining strong working relationships.
• Strong problem-solving and risk management capabilities.
• Experience working within banking or financial institutions preferred.

 

Contract Details:

• Duration: 6 months, with possibility of renewal
• Location: On-site in Cape Town
