Senior Project Manager

SUMMARY:
Develop and manage all aspects of project management from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues

POSITION INFO:

Job Objectives

• The senior PM will be required to manage a complex combination of projects that will include Enterprise customers, Key Accounts, SMB, New Business and Channel customers as per capacity demands within the business unit.
• To manage, track and expedite multi-site projects on a national level within predefined timeframes and deadlines, as may be stipulated from time to time. And to do so within predefined control methods stipulated by Business.
• To effectively communicate all project related scope and deliverable matters to all relevant parties in a courteous and timely fashion.
• To effectively manage and track resources assigned to projects by Team Leaders or Management from time to time.
• To effectively and diligently manage all risk and issues on projects, thus creating a controlled environment in which your project is executed. This must be done on a global, team and project level. Should a control liability occur, to diligently and effectively manage this risk within the adherence of methodology frameworks.
• To effectively control the stock in project environments. This includes, ensuring timely stock requests, orders confirmation where required and escalation should a stock risk occur.
• To ensure that all financial aspects are met, with regard to effective and correct budgeting and billing of projects.
• To successfully transition the project over to the next phase in Vox, by supplying all relevant information required for assurance handover, ensure billing is activated and that all support and monitoring SLA''s are met.

Working knowledge of:

• Internet connectivity technologies,
• LAN, WAN & MPLS Connectivity and Principles
• ISP Environment

ICT Environments

Knowledge of:

• project management
• process improvement
• methological process driven tasks

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF 4
• 1 Year experience in resource management / scheduling.
• 3 Years intensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• 2 Years’ experience in Project Management
