This is a 3 Year Contract!

The initiatives (Broadband, VOIP and Public Wi-Fi Hotspot Projects) comprise delivery (rollout) aspects as well as service management aspects. A Senior Project Manager will be expected to manage both aspects for a project and will be required to work across multiple project within the wider broadband initiative.

The role of the Senior Project Manager encompasses many activities including but not limited to:

Daily project management throughout the project life cycles
Planning the overall projects and monitoring progress of implementation
Managing project budgets
Managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements
Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies
Managing and utilizing resources across projects
Managing communication with stakeholder
Aligning the deliverables (outputs) to the projects “outcomes” with the aid of the relevant departmental unit

Requirements:

At least one tertiary qualification or certificate at NQF Level 7 or higher that is relevant to the role of the Senior Project Manager i.e. PMP/Prince 2 certification
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Senior Project Manager or equivalent role in broadband, WIFI or VOIP projects
