Senior Project Manager

This is a 3 Year Contract!

The initiatives (Broadband, VOIP and Public Wi-Fi Hotspot Projects) comprise delivery (rollout) aspects as well as service management aspects. A Senior Project Manager will be expected to manage both aspects for a project and will be required to work across multiple project within the wider broadband initiative.

The role of the Senior Project Manager encompasses many activities including but not limited to:

• Daily project management throughout the project life cycles
• Planning the overall projects and monitoring progress of implementation
• Managing project budgets
• Managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements
• Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies
• Managing and utilizing resources across projects
• Managing communication with stakeholder
• Aligning the deliverables (outputs) to the projects “outcomes” with the aid of the relevant departmental unit

Requirements:

• At least one tertiary qualification or certificate at NQF Level 7 or higher that is relevant to the role of the Senior Project Manager i.e. PMP/Prince 2 certification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Senior Project Manager or equivalent role in broadband, WIFI or VOIP projects
