Senior Quality Controller - Operations

SUMMARY:
Our Client in the north suburb is looking for a Quality Controller to join their dynamic team

POSITION INFO:

Working Experience Requirements and Knowledge:

8 to 10 years’ experience in the policy administration environment within the long term insurance industry.

5 to 7 years’ experience in a quality control role.

Experience in coaching and training administrators.

Experience in reviewing the effectiveness of process controls and standard operating procedures.

Proficiency in MS Office is essential

Key Responsibilities:

Analysis of trends and performing root cause analysis to identify risks and recommend mitigation actions to prevent risk from materialising.

Monitor the implementation of action plans to mitigate the risks and report to the manager for reports.

Facilitating the process of conducting Control Self-Assessments (CSA).

Follow up on the implementation of management actions to risks and findings raised by internal and external auditors.

Ensure that risks are identified, assessed and mitigated.

Conduct gap analyses to identify whether existing controls are effective and adequate, and to implement strategic plans to prevent, eliminate and mitigate operational risks.

Provide guidance to the team in the identification of risks and development of key control and the management of the review process. Report operational risk issues identified through review process and ensure that the management interventions agreed to with senior management are tracked and reported on, on a regular basis.

Ensure staff development.
