Senior Quality Manager (Food Manufacturing) - Alrode

SUMMARY:
Establish, implement, and maintain company’s food safety system as per FSSC requirements and customer specific accreditations.

POSITION INFO:

Key responsibilities

• Manage and Coordinate Q.C. personnel
• Create a safe environment with required resources for Q.C. department employees.
• Manage laboratory and product analysis.
• Manage asset care of laboratory equipment to ensure that is working and calibrated.
• Ensure effective housekeeping is maintained in lab.
• Ensuring that the Food Safety System (FSSC) is established, implemented, maintained, continually improved, and updated.
• Develop, implement, and update product specifications.
• Working with production to develop solutions to production issues, maintaining food safety.
• Ensure resolution to customer complaints.
• FSSC training requirements
• Ensuring regulatory and Statutory compliance
• Internal Auditing
• Facilitate food safety meeting with Food Safety Team
• Communicate with outside labs.

Education/Experience

• 5 Years’ management experience in production environment of which were overseeing a quality team.
• Must have FSSC 22000 level 5 experience, food retailer standards implementation shall be advantageous.
• 3 years’ experience in working with pest control contractors on a manufacturing site.
• 5 Years’ experience in passing external food safety audits.
• Physical fit (able to do some lifting at times)
• Ability to understand process control sheets.
• Ability to work under pressure due to the nature of the business.
• Ability to work overtime and shifts when required.
• 3 years basic understanding of production systems and processes.
