JOB SUMMARY:
A well-known Multinational Industrial and Material Handling Equipment Company requires the above to ensure achievement of their new business rental objectives, sales targets and revenue growth generated through personal performance and the performance of the Sales Team, to implement and uphold actions in line with Company strategic vision, to maximise efficiency of the Department and to operate the Department profitably according to set targets.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:
  • A degree or diploma in Sales or Business Management or Marketing or related qualification is essential for this role.
  • Previous experience having worked as a Regional Sales Manager or related, managing a Sales Team within the material handling or related industry is essential.
  • The successful candidate must be an effective communicator with a high standard of verbal and written English.
  • Must be well-organised and able to decide priorities in a rapidly changing commercial environment.
  • Must have mathematical skills and understand the sales and marketing principles and methods.
  • The successful candidate must be computer literate and ideally have experience working with the Kerridge system or a related ERP system.
  • Must have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services which includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Must have good negotiation skills and persuasion abilities.
  • Attention to detail as well as the ability to work well under pressure and multi-task.
  • Must have a sound knowledge of developing new business / targeting and converting opposition accounts
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Managing the New Equipment Sales Department driving all staff and KPIs for the Company.
  • Ensuring quality of customer interaction and service by supporting and guiding the Sales Team in attracting and securing new business.
  • Developing partnerships with and tailor-made solutions for Key Accounts and Clients in general.
  • Evaluating the Sales Team and the Administrative and Supervisory Staff’s development needs and ensuring lack of knowledge / skills are addressed.
  • Managing the financials of the Department in line with the budget and Company strategic objectives.
  • Ensuring the quality of rental business activated is in line with Company objectives.
  • Ensuring that order take targets, invoicing targets and GP targets are achieved, stock turn is controlled, overheads and debtors are in line with Company regulations and under control.
  • Planning, preparing, submitting and driving the New Equipment Sales Department’s budget.
  • Preparing and presenting the weekly, monthly and quarterly and ad hoc reports to Senior Management.
  • Developing and implementing operational innovation.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
