Senior Registered Nurse

Our client, in the medical care industry, based in Somerset West, is looking for a Senior Registered Nurse.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• To supervise the nursing staff and Carers for home-based care patients.
• Will need to do home visits to various patients.
• Will be the link between the personnel and the clients / patients.
• Will need to manage the WhatsApp groups and reporting for the Carers.

Requirements:

• Must be a Registered Nurse with a valid annual registration with the SA Nursing Council (SANC).
• At least 3 to 4 years’ working experience in the industry.
• Must have previous working experience in community work and home care.
• Must have exposure and experience in risk management.
• Must have experience in the developing and implementing of policies and procedures in the workplace.
• Knowledgeable and skilled with regards to elderly care and medication rounds.
• Good wound care knowledge and skills.
• Infection control experience, specifically with regards to Covid 19 regulations.
• Computer literacy in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Proficiency in writing reports and good administration skills.
• Must be a strong leader with supervising skills.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Must have your own transport / car.

Working hours: Mondays to Fridays from 08:00 to 17:00 and after hours on request.

Area: Somerset West area.

Salary offered: R25 000 – R30 000 per month (depending on experience).

Starting date: As soon as possible.
