POSITION INFO:
The Role:

We are looking for a Senior SAP FI Functional Consultant (Template Design Lead) for a 12-month fixed term contract Position with our client based in Centurion/Pretoria.

 

Willing and able to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time (Internationally) with a Valid Driverâ??s License.

 

Minimum educational level:

• Degree in IT or relevant experience
• SAP FI/CO Certification - Knowledge
• SAP Technical/Functional modules (Very Advantageous)
• In depth knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
• Knowledge of ITPM and AWM (Advantageous)
• SAP FI/CO (Advantageous)

 

We require a minimum 8 yearsâ?? work experience in:

• SAP FI/CO (essential):
  • General Ledger
  • Asset Accounting
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Banking
  • Project Systems
  • Controlling (including Profitability Analysis)
• SAP Materials Management (advantageous)
• SAP Sales Distribution (advantageous)
• SAP Solution Manager (CHARM) (advantageous)

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand customer requests and support effort estimations of such requests
• Fully understand solution requirements, and must able to translate business requirements into functional requirements
• Provide fit/gap analysis resulting from workshops, where the design manager may participate
• Provide insight and functional expertise to support the delivery of multiple projects
• Assure Template approach and adherence to build guidelines and responsible for ensuring the solution alignment of ongoing and future projects
• The design manager provides oversight of and deep insight of the template design and off the shelf SAP functionality within their area of expertise, while conforming to template governance and standards for configuration design.
• The role will require making formal recommendations to the product owner on template extensions but, where possible, to aim to limit localisations to tax, statutory and legal variations.
• Check dependencies of the requested changes and align with application manager and product owner
• Aligns with Build Manager on customising and developments
• Assure quality of Design and takes responsibility for all design work â?? review of documentation to ensure quality, adherence to template guidelines, ensure template documentation is kept up to date, review of all transports to ensure risk is mitigated.
• Ability to work in a multi-vendor environment to enable solutions to the business
• Create / check Test cases and align those with respective product owners
• Support with Go Live preparation and support during Go Live (could be on weekends, late evenings) and support during Hypercare phase
• Ensure developed solution has been tested (including regression testing) and ready for User Acceptance Testing
• Specific knowledge (ITPM, HP ALM, TPA Tool, Optis Tool, Jira, Confluence, IBV, DIVA, IDAS, Remedy. eGRC)
