Senior SAP Analytics Cloud Lead

Our client, a leading organisation within the financial services sector, is looking for an experienced Senior SAP Analytics Cloud Specialist to join their SAP Analytics and Business Intelligence team, based in Sandton on a 12-month contract opportunity. 
We are looking for a senior SAP Analytics Cloud specialist with strong hands-on experience across SAC Planning, Forecasting, Advanced Formulas, Data Actions, Analytic Applications and Optimized Stories. 

The successful candidate will work across SAC, SAP Datasphere, BW/4HANA, S/4HANA and HANA Cloud environments, with particular emphasis on planning and forecasting solutions. Experience with Just Ask, Joule and AI-powered analytics capabilities is important, as the organisation continues to modernise its analytics landscape and adopt intelligent, user-focused solutions.

POSITION INFO:
What you will be doing: Design, develop and support enterprise SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) planning, forecasting, budgeting and reporting solutions . Develop dashboards, stories and analytical applications aligned to business and financial requirements. Design and optimise SAC planning models, versions, allocations, data actions and advanced formulas. Develop and maintain SAC scripting solutions within Analytic Applications and Optimized Stories. Model and optimise data within SAC for performance, scalability and usability. Design and implement virtual data sources, live data connections and federated analytics architectures. Integrate SAC with SAP BW\/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA Cloud and S\/4HANA environments. Develop and maintain SAP Datasphere data models and end-to-end analytics solutions where applicable. Support planning and forecasting capabilities aligned to business processes and financial requirements. Leverage Just Ask, Joule and AI-assisted analytics capabilities to improve business insights and user experience. Support AI-driven analytics, natural language querying and intelligent search capabilities within the SAP analytics landscape. Develop and support Analysis for Office (AFO) workbooks and reporting solutions. Support migration and modernisation initiatives from legacy SAP BI, BOBJ and AFO solutions to SAC. Provide technical input into enterprise analytics architecture and SAP reporting strategy. Translate business requirements into scalable planning, reporting and analytics solutions. Work closely with Project Managers, Business Teams and SAP Functional Consultants to design and deliver solutions. Perform solution design, development, testing, deployment and implementation activities across project lifecycles. Investigate and resolve complex production incidents relating to SAC, planning and analytics solutions. Monitor application and solution performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Act as a technical integration specialist across SAC, Datasphere, BW\/4HANA and related SAP technologies. Provide technical leadership on planning, forecasting and analytics design decisions. Consult on SAP Analytics Cloud best practices, governance, standards and reusable solution patterns. Provide input and oversight into testing, deployment and implementation activities. Identify and manage technical dependencies, risks and potential impacts across projects and strategic programmes. Drive problem resolution and continuous improvement across the SAP analytics environment. Operate with limited supervision while taking ownership of technical deliverables and priorities. Coach and mentor team members in SAC, planning, forecasting, Datasphere and SAP analytics technologies. Prepare and maintain technical specifications, process documentation, test scripts, user documentation and training material. Share knowledge and promote best practices across the SAP Analytics community. Contribute to the development of analytics standards, governance frameworks and reusable assets. Continually develop expertise in SAC, Datasphere, AI capabilities, Business Data Cloud and emerging SAP analytics technologies. What we are looking for: Relevant IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent qualification. SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Certification - mandatory. Strong hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud Planning and Forecasting implementations . Proven experience developing and supporting SAC Stories, Applications, Models and Analytic Applications . Strong experience with SAC Advanced Formulas and Data Actions . Strong scripting experience within SAC Analytic Applications and Optimized Stories. Experience with Virtual Data Models \/ Virtual Data Sources and live connectivity architectures . Experience with Analysis for Microsoft Office (AFO) . Experience with Just Ask and AI-driven analytics capabilities within SAC . Experience leveraging Joule and AI-powered analytics functionality within SAP solutions. Strong understanding of SAC integration with BW\/4HANA and S\/4HANA . Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable planning, analytics and reporting solutions. Strong understanding of enterprise analytics architecture and SAP reporting environments. Experience across solution design, development, testing, deployment and production support. Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities. Ability to work independently under limited supervision and take ownership of complex technical deliverables. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
