Lead and provide strategic direction to the Sales division, formulating and implementing clear and effective sales strategies, commercial, operational, and business growth strategies and plans which drive long-term sustainable value and drive growth within the company.

POSITION INFO:

Senior Sales Executive (ICT) – JHB (AA/EE)

This role reports into the MD – and you will be expected to lead and provide strategic direction to the Sales division, formulating and implementing clear and effective sales strategies, commercial, operational, and business growth strategies and plans which drive long-term sustainable value and drive growth within the company

The ideal candidate will have experience / specialties including fixed mobile convergence, MPLS, Voice, Internet and/or Cloud computing Solutions. You should be comfortable working in high paced environments, and interacting with customers at CxO level.

The ideal candidate will meet the following Minimum requirements:

  • Degree / Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business or Management
  • At least 10 - 12 years’ experience in telecommunications – especially end-to-end broadband, mobile radio and enterprise networks (non negotiable)
  • Ideally you will have good knowledge of and direct sales management experience within the ICT space
  • Must be networking and security literate
  • Must have proven experience / track record in high level negotiations and closing major deals/accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, deliver and grow a sales/solutions practice. 
  • Solid experience in leading sales teams, demonstrated ability to drive results through others

 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Own, develop and lead the formulation and implementation of the sales strategy and budget for the division, measure and monitor performance against the strategy and direct corrective action where appropriate to drive performance commercial and customer agenda to achieve the company vision, mission, and corporate development.
  • Develop sales and marketing plans to drive revenue growth
  • Project management: manage conflicting constraints and drive each project to successful completion (ICT projects- telecommunications, networking services etc)
  • As a member of the management team, contribute towards the formulation and implementation of overall sales strategies and plans with specific focus on the division’s revenues and margins which enable the achievement of mission and objectives.
  • Translate business strategies/plans into sales priorities and measure sales performance
  • Agreeing on deliverables, pricing strategy and on-going management and support of the sales and implementation process
  • Developing a sustainable ICT, Telecoms, Networking and Cloud Services market
