JOB SUMMARY:
Sandton - Are you a Security Network Administrator that can provide the skills and be familiar with vulnerabilities and risks associated within an enterprise environment, then you are the right person for this job!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

Ensure that all changes to the Network and associated network security software is documented and actioned through GIS’s Change Control procedure.
Ensuring all network security issues are resolved within SLA
Assists with diagnoses of network security incidents and the resolution thereof.
Uptime of all network security applications and infrastructure according to agreed SLAs
Continuous monitoring of the Network Infrastructure to ensure no security breaching occurs.
Close co-ordination with other GIS disciplines to ensure that all aspects of security are comprehensively covered.
Service support agreements with vendors are enforced.
Clear and concise detection, inspection and escalation procedures are in place and followed.
Ensure that Network Security risk is kept to the minimum at all times.
Keep abreast with the latest Network Security technologies.

Skills:

Knowledge of information security technologies;
Knowledge of information security threats and vulnerabilities;
Knowledge of firmware vulnerabilities, threat and risks on networking equipment;
Knowledge of network related security risks and attacks;
Analytical and problem solving skills;
Knowledge of firewalls and routing;
Knowledge of network and encryption protocols;
Knowledge of network based intrusions and protocol abnormalities;
Knowledge of information security threats and vulnerabilities;
Advanced interpersonal and oral, written communication skills to communicate to all levels of the organization;
Ability to function under pressure;
Ability to function in a team;
Excellent Troubleshooting skills.
