SUMMARY:
A leading mining organisation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network & Security Architect to design, implement, and support secure, resilient, and high-performance network infrastructure across multiple mining operations.
The role focuses on enterprise IT + OT (Operational Technology) convergence, ensuring secure connectivity across mine sites, processing plants, and head office environments, while supporting digital transformation initiatives such as SD-WAN, private cloud, network segmentation, and industrial automation systems.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements
Experience

10+ years in Network Engineering / Architecture
5+ years in Security Architecture
Proven experience in Mining / Industrial / Multi-site environments
Demonstrated experience with:

SD-WAN implementations
Network segmentation (IT/OT separation)
Large-scale infrastructure transformation projects

Technical Skills

Advanced routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS)
SD-WAN (Huawei, Aruba, Cisco Meraki or similar)
Network Security:

Palo Alto / Fortinet / Cisco Security
Zero Trust / Zscaler / Identity-based access

Wireless & mobility solutions (enterprise scale)
Network monitoring & performance tools (PRTG, SolarWinds)
Strong experience in multi-vendor environments

Certifications (Highly Advantageous / Preferred)

Cisco: CCNP / CCIE (Routing & Switching / Security)
Palo Alto: PCNSE
Fortinet NSE
ITIL / COBIT
SD-WAN / Cloud Networking certifications
