Senior Network & Systems Administrator

A large multi-site group is seeking an experienced Senior Network & Systems Administrator to manage, secure and optimise enterprise network and server environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN, Wi-Fi and Internet connectivity across multiple sites
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure
• Server administration: Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, file/share permissions
• Microsoft 365 & Azure AD (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
• Network security, backups, disaster recovery & business continuity
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot escalated issues, manage emergencies
• Support hybrid cloud/on-prem environments
• Maintain documentation, firmware updates, patching and backups
• Mentor junior IT staff and liaise with vendors/service providers

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• 5+ years’ experience in IT Administration / Network Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols
• Windows Server & Windows 10/11 environments
• VPNs (site-to-site & client), Mikrotik RouterOS, firewalls
• Microsoft Active Directory & Office 365
• Certifications: A+ / N+, MCITP, Network Security+
• Diploma in IT Systems Administration (NQF 4/5) advantageous

Remuneration Package:

Basic salary of R30 000 – R50 000 depending on experience
