SUMMARY:
Senior Security Officer - Mining - BASED IN THE DRC MINING SECURITY experience essential for this role

POSITION INFO:

Purpose of this role:

This is a team supervisory role and will be responsible for supervising and developing the Risk Team of Inspectors and guards, with the mining Operation.
To ensure that they perform their duties and that employees and assets are protected.
Investigation support and emergency protection duties will be part of the activities of this role.
Personal risk is a factor in the role due to commodity escorts, (if applicable) criminal investigations, VIP escorts and unrest situations.
The time frame for measuring the work outputs from this role is normally between 1-3 years.
This includes, assisting the Risk Department with initiating appropriate strategies, comprehensive systems to minimize risks relating to the security of employees and assets.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Five years'' experience in role
At least 4 years'' experience in mining and plant security
At least 4 years'' experience managing contract security services
Registered with Security Officers Board
Literate in English
First Aid Certificate
Intermediate level: Business Communication
Intermediate level: People Management
Intermediate level: Business Understanding
Intermediate level: Employee Relations
Intermediate level: Safety and Health
Intermediate level: BU Knowledge
Code 08/10 driver license
Computer literate for role
Crime mapping ,crime analysis and Hot spot Identification

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
